Get Your Motor Running
Over 120 motorcyclists, along with a slew of passengers, turned out Saturday May 21st to make the first ever Megan’s House Ride for Recovery a huge success.
The 60-mile ride began at Joker’s Lounge in Dracut, which holds an annual motorcycle ride to benefit local charities. This year, the organizers selected Megan’s House as the beneficiary of their event and the result was a great turnout not only of riders and their passengers, but also a large crowd of party-goers who welcomed the motorcycles back to Joker’s for a post-ride party featuring food, raffle prizes and live music from three popular local bands.
When all was said and done, over $11,000 was raised to support the programs at Megan’s House. Included in that total was a $500 check presentation made to Megan’s House by the Lions Club of Dracut.
The Megan House Foundation would like to thank everyone at Joker’s Lounge for their hospitality and generosity. Heartfelt appreciation goes out as well to all those participated in the ride or joined us for the celebration afterward. Rest assured, your generous contributions will make a difference in the lives of the residents of Megan’s House as they continue their recovery from opioid addiction.
