D.A. Tackles Opioid Abuse
Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan continued her efforts to combat the opioid epidemic with the release of a new video aimed at area youth.
The video, produced by the D.A.’s Middlesex Partnerships with Youth, was unveiled at a Friday May 20th meeting of the Lowell Opioid Task Force. District Attorney Ryan has made the opioid crisis a focal point of her tenure in office, working in close collaboration with local police departments and organizations to fight the crisis.
In March of 2016, she launched Project CARE (Child Assessment and Response Evaluation) to help children deal with the experience of having a loved one overdose. Project CARE is a collaboration between Ryan’s office, Lowell Police and the Mental Health Association of Greater Lowell.
