Dressed for Success
The spirit of giving is alive and well, as a local business is making sure the residents of Megan’s House are dressed for success this holiday season.
Athena Mirabella and Bruce Parziale, who operate Athena’s Boutique on Lakeview Avenue in Dracut, recently presented boxes of brand new designer clothes, boots and accessories to members of the Megan’s House Foundation. The items were donated as part of the “Presents for Residents” fundraiser, which takes place at Lenzi’s in Dracut on Saturday, December 10th.
Mirabella and Parziale are well known in the Greater Lowell area for their dedication to causes assisting young adults and children. They work closely with Plummer Foster Care in Lowell and have also supplied free prom gowns to students without the means to afford such upscale clothing items.
Athena’s Boutique opened its Dracut location in August of 2014 and features formal wear ranging from prom and bridal dresses, to tuxedos and accessories.
On hand to accept the wonderful gifts were Megan’s House Chairman of the Board, Robert Gignac, and Board member, Corey Belanger. The Lowell School Committee member and City Councilor, respectively, are hosting the “Presents for Residents” event. Also on hand for the presentation was Megan’s House incoming Executive Director, Deb Belanger, who officially begins her duties in January, but is already doing her part to the support the organization.
