Rebounding from Life’s Setbacks
A trip to the Boston Garden for a Celtics game turned into a memory for the ages for a group of young women from Megan’s House.
Thanks to a recent donation of the opportunity for five people to step onto the famed parquet floor after a Celtics game, following the Celtics February 15th victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, four young women and their Success Coach Kylee Farnkoff took the court and scored a few points toward their continued growth.
The residents ran around, shot baskets and most importantly, laughed and smiled as they got to enjoy the types of moments that have been few and far between during their journeys.
Moments like these are what make Megan’s House a special place in the recovery community.
The program’s holistic approach encompasses much more than just treatment. Opportunities like shooting baskets after a Celtics game, going to the circus, hiking in the mountains or the numerous other group outings are an integral party of overall growth and happiness.
Through the generosity of many selfless contributors to the cause, these “opportunities of a lifetime” have been, and will continue to be, available to the young residents who have finally found hope through Megan’s House.
