Comcast Cares Day 2018
For the second consecutive year, over 100 volunteers participated in Comcast Cares Day at Megan’s House on Saturday, April 21, 2018.
In addition to their efforts in Lowell, volunteers also visited Erin’s House in Dracut to help spruce up the home and yard alongside residents who are continuing their recovery at the Megan House Foundation’s first Success Home, which opened its doors to graduates of the program last August.
The men, women, and even children, who make up the Comcast family, generously donated their time and efforts painting, planting and showing our residents the world is full of kind people who care.
2018 marked the 16th annual Comcast Cares Day, one of the nation’s largest single-day corporate volunteer efforts and Comcast NBCUniversal’s celebration of its year-round commitment to service. Since Comcast Cares Day began in 2001, volunteers have contributed over 5 million hours of service at 7,700 projects and Comcast NBCUniversal has provided more than $20 million in grants to local non-profit community partners.
Once again, the Megan House Foundation is humbled by the support from Comcast and its employees. Their efforts help validate one of our favorite phrases, that “together, we make a difference.”
