MH Response to Covid-19
The health and safety of our residents, staff and community is of paramount importance to the Megan House Foundation. Therefore, considering the current and rapidly evolving situation regarding COVID-19, the organization has taken numerous precautions to guard against the spread of this virus. Among them:
*implementation of all CDC and DPH guidelines
*adjustments to our policies and programs for the residents.
*elimination for the time being of all outside meetings and activities
*suspended employment for all residents except those deemed essential personnel
*no outside visitation to the residences until further notice
*increased cleaning and sanitation of Megan’s House and Erin’s House
In addition, we enhanced our assessment and acceptance procedures for new residents in order to prevent the virus from being brought into the houses. At the same time, we remain committed to being accessible when a young woman chooses treatment.
We are extremely grateful to our staff for working diligently to ensure the safety of everyone involved with the Foundation by implementing creative activities to keep the residents engaged, while also keeping them safe and respectful of the need to practice social distancing.
These are challenging times and we encourage everyone to take care of and support each other.
Thank you
