Congratulations MaryBeth!
The Megan House Foundation received word this week that Program Director, MaryBeth Murphy, was named a “Commonwealth Heroine of 2020!”
The award is presented annually by the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women. It honors and recognizes incredible women who have been recommended by legislators from their districts and selected for their contributions to their community and the Commonwealth.
Commonwealth Heroines are women who don’t always make the news, but truly make a difference in their communities, businesses, or volunteer endeavors. Murphy, who oversees the program and the incredibly talented and dedicated staff at Megan’s House and Erin’s House, was nominated for using her time, talent, spirit, and enthusiasm to enrich the lives of others.
Murphy was recommended for the honor by State Representative Tom Golden, an ardent supporter of the Foundation and its mission since Day 1.
We extend our gratitude to Representative Golden for his continued efforts on our behalf and for recommending MaryBeth Murphy for this honor. And of course, we congratulate MaryBeth for the work she continues to do to make a difference in the lives of young women in recovery.
