Great Day for a Great Cause
Ask most golfers how their day of golf was, and they’ll respond with something along the lines of; “a bad day of golf is better than a great day at work!” For us at the Megan House Foundation, Monday June 14th was the best of both worlds; a great day of work AND a great day of golf!
The 7th Annual “Fore Hope & Recovery” Golf Tournament, our first in-person event since the pandemic started, was a tremendous success. In fact, lucky #7 was our most successful Golf Tournament to date, raising well over $40,000….and we’re still counting!
In addition, we were able to honor our Board Chairman, Robert Gignac, for his tireless support of our organization and the mission. Robert even received a citation from City of Lowell Mayor John Leahy, a regular sponsor and golfer at the tournament in his own right.
State Representative Tom Golden, another unwavering supporter of Megan’s House, came through as our auctioneer, enticing our free spending golfers and lunch attendees into bidding wars for some very unique items generously donated by our supporters.
The Megan House Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved with making this such a successful event; our generous sponsors, tireless volunteers, joyful participants and gracious hosts at the Four Oaks Country Club. Your efforts go a long way toward helping the young women who call Megan’s House and Erin’s House home through their recovery journey.
Together, we make a difference!
