Women Working Wonders
Once again, the Megan House Foundation is thrilled and honored to receive a grant from the Greater Lowell Community Foundation!
Through it’s Women Working Wonders Fund, the GLCF awarded grants to 7 local organizations, including $1,000 to Megan’s House. WWWF provides annual grants in three key areas: assist women in transition, provide leadership development and contribute to the beautification of the environment. Since its establishment in 2004, the fund has granted nearly $300,000 to nonprofits supporting women and girls in the Greater Lowell area.
“We are once again grateful to Greater Lowell Community Foundation for their generosity,” said Megan’s House Executive Director Pamela Huntley. “These funds will help cover transportation costs for our residents. With bus schedules not always aligning with their personal schedules and with costs of ride share services rising, the young women at Megan’s House and Erin’s House can get to work, school and meetings without incurring steep costs that might otherwise provide obstacles to these important steps in their recovery.”
Executive Director Jay Linnehan and the entire team at GLCF have been steadfast supporters of the mission at Megan’s House. Our partnership with them has already led to numerous success stories. We look forward to creating even more in the near future!
