Emma’s House: Opening Spring 2023!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Megan’s House Preparing to Open Emma’s House
The Organization’s Second Success Home Will Accommodate Nine Young Women in a Safe, Supportive and Supervised Environment
January 17, 2023 — Nearly six years after opening its first Success Home, the Megan House Foundation is set to open its second residence for graduates of Megan’s House and other young women continuing their recovery after treatment.
Named after an early graduate of the program, Emma’s House in Lowell is slated to open this Spring, providing another nine beds for young women continuing their recovery as they transition back to society.
“This is an exciting and much-needed addition to the Megan House Foundation and the community,” said Board Chairman Robert Gignac. “Emma’s House allows us to keep graduates of our program, as well as others, connected to their support network as they take the crucial next steps in recovery.”
Emma’s House will provide a safe, supportive and supervised environment for residents during a critical phase in their recovery. Following the successful model of Erin’s House in Dracut, the Lowell residence will feature a House Manager and House Director on call 24 hours a day to provide continued case management and develop individual service plans with each resident.
“Opening our second Success Home has been a longtime goal of the organization,” said Executive Director Pam Huntley. “Seeing this come to fruition is so exciting! Most importantly we will be filling a tremendous void for safe, affordable, sober housing for women.”
Similar to Megan’s House and Erin’s House, Emma’s House is also located along an established public transportation route, allowing for access to work, educational and recreational opportunities, which are vital components to a successful recovery.
